UK Car Production Slumps Even Before Jaguar Land Rover Shutdown

UK car manufacturing dropped in August, with a cyberattack at Jaguar Land Rover that's brought production to a standstill poised to make things even worse for the country's beleaguered industry.
Output fell 10% from a year earlier to 37,072 units, the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders lobby group said Thursday. Including commercial vehicles, which fell 73%, it was the lowest production for August since 1956.
